            Dari arti liriknya jelas Jon merasa kehilangan dan rindu bertemu orang yang dikasihinya. Bahkan ketika ia harus bersusah payah mencari waktu dan telepon umum, (karena sebagai penyanyi membuatnya harus mengikuti tour atau konser*) untuk sekedar menyapa dan bertukar kabar. Lagu yang menggambarkan curahan perasaan (waktu itu) betapa ia berusaha tetap setia, sekalipun keadaannya (membuatnya) sulit untuk saling berhubungan dari jarak jauh.



            Karena merupakan curahan perasaan langsung Jon, tentu saja tidak sulit menebak arti atau makna lagu ini, yang (-paling tidak dari-) liriknya menggambarkan betapa tersiksa berada jauh dari orang yang amat dikasihi, serta perjuangan keras untuk dapat “sekedar merasa dekat”, padahal harus melakoni pekerjaannya (sebagai pemusik dan penyanyi kondang).



Meski banyak godaan dan selingan, dan terpisah jauh serta sangat sulit untuk hanya sekedar “say hi” melalui telepon umum, tetap saja (watu itu) yang berada di hati dan benak seorang Jon adalah orang yang “menantikannya” di rumah. Namun, seperti dalam jeritan gregetan-pasrah di bagian akhir lagunya, “aku rela mati demi mempertahankan dirimu (bersamaku).

Hmm…kalau sudah begini, memangnya apa lagi yang perlu dibuktikan(?). Tembang slow rock tentang kesetiaan yang sangat menyentuh. Semoga bermanfaat dan terhibur.
